Bojo River Cruise in the town of Aloguinsan, Cebu exemplifies sustainable tourism and is a well-applauded tourism destination in the world. Just recently, the Bojo River Cruise in Aloguinsan has made it again in the TOP 100 Global Sustainable Destinations for 3 consecutive years since 2016, Tourism Inspire Awards Winner in 2015 and ASEAN Tourism Award Community-based Category Winner in 2017. The river cruise is managed by the Bojo Aloguinsan Eco-tourism Association (BAETAS) and the Local Government Unit of Aloguinsan simply shows that nature and people can coexist to protect each other. The 1.4 km Bojo River is facing the Tanon Strait, the biggest marine protected area in the Philippines which highlights a mangrove tour with local guides telling you about the unique flora and fauna found in the area.

Your payment goes to protecting the river and is the source of income. Anyone who wants to get in must pay for the required payment fees. Payment means you understand the policies and that you will follow them. We reserve the right to deny entry to anyone we deem a threat to the security and peace and order of our place. Health & Safety
Please wear your facemask properly, at all times.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside.
Wildlife Protection
Touching of nests, harming and collecting wildlife (plants & animals) is strictly prohibited. We have a national law for that — The Philippine Wildlife Resources Conservation & Protection Act (Republic Act 9147).
Environmental Protection
  • Writing of graffiti is strictly prohibited.
  • Bonfires or cooking of food in open fires are not allowed.
  • Use of disposable containers, Styrofoam and other non-biodegradable materials for packed meals is not allowed. You understand that brining these things inside means you also agree taking them out when you leave. Throwing of garbage along the way will be dealt with accordingly.
  • Please use water sparingly. Wasting water in the toilet and shower is not allowed.
  • Dispose your biodegradable trash responsibly by putting them in proper places.
Tour Safety & Protocol
  • Only a trained paddling guide is allowed to facilitate the river tour.
  • Respect the privacy of other guests and avoid making loud and unnecessary noise especially at the River’s mouth.
  • Be responsible for your personal belongings.
  • Keep your eyes on your children. Please report immediately the community any injury or accident.
